The balance wheel makes over half a million oscillations per day, 180 million each year.

A vehicle whose wheels have made this many turns would have travelled over 354,000 Kms.

In ten years a watch will clock up the equivalent of at least 3.5 million kms.  That is about the distance from the earth to the moon.
